About
I graduated in Goiás Federal University (Bachelor of Music/piano) and finished my Master of Philosophy at the same university. I work as pianist; among my several works, I worked as coach at UFG Opera Studio, and have worked recently as musical advisor and pianist for the vocal ensemble Camerata in Fuga. As reasercher, I have written about the relationships between musical performance, philosophy and the human body. Among the authors I read are Merleau-Ponty, Foucault, Heidegger, Nietzsche and Deleuze. My interests in Philosophy concern mostly ontology, phenomenology, philosophy of art/aesthetics and problems concerning language (non-analitic approaches) and perception as well. My actual research focuses on questions about how some Modernist compositional practices escape from traditional conceptions about art and music as expression and representation as well. I expect, from some philosophical conceptions about language and art, discuss how Modern music could be thought not in terms of his techniques or poetics, but in the sense of an archeology of musical knowledge, foccusing on the music treatises written by Descartes and Rameau.
